What is Callerid4u?
- Callerid4u Inc. is a business to business telecommunications company based in Washington State. We are the premier Caller ID Phone Number provider to high volume, self dialing, and outbound calling companies.
What are Caller ID Phone Numbers?
- Caller ID Phone Numbers indentify themselves when they are used. Without this premium service a phone number would show as unknown or blocked.
Who would use this service?
- Companies that dial out a lot, such as call centers, telemarketers, service centers, carriers, etc.
Why would they use this service?
- Because by law they must identify their calls when the dial out to consumers and to increase the completion of the calls.
Does that mean that they dial out through Callerid4u network?
- No they dial out through their own network.
So just to be sure, did Callerid4u call me?
- Callerid4u did not call you.
Is Callerid4u a telemarketer?
- No, Callerid4u is not a telemarketing company, nor does it hire any telemarketing company to sell its services to consumers
So just to be sure I understand, does Callerid4u sell car warranties, mortgage refinance, service contracts, etc to retail consumers?
- No, Callerid4u does not offer any services to retail customers directly or indirectly.
I am confused, then who called me? Since its Callerid4us name that comes up when I do a search for the phone number that called me.
- The number that appeared on your caller ID is being used by one of our customers so that you can identify the call and call back to be removed from a call list if you want to. Otherwise you would receive a call from unknown or blocked number and you would not be able to stop the calls.
So Callerid4u is helping its customers comply with identifying their calls to consumers?
What else does Callerid4u do for its customers and consumers?
- It provides a trouble ticket package for them to receive, track, and resolve consumer complaints
- And it provides consumers various ways in which they can remove themselves from a call list, make a complaint, escalate a complaint or track a complaint.
Is Callerid4u responsible for resolving a complaint or removing me from a call list?
- No that is exclusively the responsibility of the customer. We do however escalate and lobby on your behalf for our customer to quickly resolve your issue.
Is Callerid4u responsible for its customers regulatory and compliance?
- No, Callerid4u only provides two services out of many that our customers must comply with. Those two services are: making sure that a call has Caller ID and providing at least one way for a consumer to automatically remove themselves from a call list.
I am a consumer, what can Callerid4u do for me?
- First of all because of our Caller ID, you are here, that is the first service that we offer. Instead of an anonymous telemarketer calling you that you have no way of stopping the calls, you know who called you and you can ask to be removed from a call list.
- Second, when you call back the number that called you from the number that was called, you can automatically remove yourself from a call list.
- Third; if the above did not work or you have other problems, then we provide, a fax, email, IVR and website for you to escalate your complaint and to track it.
- We will aggressively lobby and support you in your complaint to our customers. If you don't want to be called its our mission to let our customers know those are you wishes.
I am a consumer, what can't Callerid4u do for me?
- Since we are not the ones actually making the calls, we cannot directly resolve your issue.
- Since our customers did not call out through our network, we have no records of when they called you.
I am on the DNC list. Why am I receiving calls?
- There are several lists a National, State, Cell Phone and company ("telemarketing") "do not call" list. ("DNC") Unfortunately, not all Call centers or telemarketing companies update their databases with these "do not call" lists as frequently as they should. There are organizations that due to the nature of their business are allowed to call individuals directly. These include political campaign organizations.
How did the telemarketer obtain my phone number?
- Of all the ways that telemarketers can obtain information about you, these resources are largely broken up into two different categories: public directories and business relationships. One of the major sources of corporate call lists are public directories like the white pages.
I received a call from one of the Callerid4u phone numbers, I called back pressed option 1 to be added to the do not call list, however I am still receiving unsolicited calls.
- While we do not control the process it usually it takes approximately 72 hours for the calls to stop. It may be possible that a different telemarketing company is calling you. If this is the case, you would need to call the new number and request to be added to the do not call list.

How long does it take for my number to be removed from a call list?
- We pass on the information to our customers and then our customers are exclusively responsible for updating their DNC lists and to stop the calls. The process usually takes about 3 to 5 days from the time we receive your request.
It has been over 72 hours and I am still receiving unsolicited calls. Why?
- Its possible our customer has not taken care of your request or

How can I obtain information on the number that is calling me?
- You can visit our website at www.callerid4u.com, click on Consumer and look up the phone number. You will be provided the companies contact information.
I was disrespected by one of Callerid4us customers. To whom should I address this issue?

The number that I reported to you stopped calling me however, now I am receiving calls from another number with the same telemarketer. What can I do?
- You can call back the new number that is calling you and request to be added to the companies do not call list. Can I be added to the Callerid4u do not call list?
- Yes, your number is automatically added to our do not call list. This list is sent weekly to our customers so that they can update their do not call list.
